About Doctor Chhabra

Sandhya Chhabra, M.D. opened Albemarle Endocrinology, PLC in September 2005. She completed both her undergraduate and medical training at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She then came to Charlottesville where she completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Virginia.

During her fellowship she was particularly involved in research related to the development of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in adolescent girls. Her areas of clinical interest include women’s health, endocrine disease (including diabetes) in pregnancy, PCOS, and thyroid disorders.
